- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 egg (large)
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cup chocolate chips (semisweet)
Instructions
-
1
Heat the oven to 375°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment.

In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with a hand mixer until creamy and light, about 2 minutes.
-
3
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then the vanilla.
-
4
In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to the wet mixture and stir on low (or by hand) until just combined.
-
5
Fold in the chocolate chips.
-
6
Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
-
7
Bake 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden but the centers still look slightly underdone. Cool on the pan 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
